W.F.Bruce Antique Clocks has been established for over thirty years. After completing a three-year BADA antique clock restoration course under tutor Frank Smith FBHI, Bill Bruce set up in business on the outskirts of Lewes in East Sussex.
Elected a member of the British Antique Dealers’ Association and a Fellow of the British Horological Institute, W.F.Bruce Antique Clocks is one of the most interesting and varied clock specialists in the UK. In two large, well-stocked showrooms there is a good representation of longcase or antique grandfather clocks from both East Sussex and West Sussex on display, as well as other fine examples from Lewes and around the country, including a good selection of English lantern clocks. All grandfather clocks, lantern, mantel, wall and bracket clocks are setup in your home and given a two year guarantee.
In addition we have a well-stocked library for research available to customers and students as well as excellent workshop facilities where sympathetic restoration of antique grandfather clocks and other stock is undertaken. Very often the same traditional hand skills are employed in the restoration of the antique clocks as those used by the clockmakers who made them, in many cases nearly 300 years ago.
