The Cartier Pendulette Ref. 7517 is a refined Swiss-made travelling alarm clock from the 1980s, produced during a period when Cartier extended its celebrated design language beyond wristwatches into luxury desk accessories. Combining practicality with unmistakable Cartier styling, this compact clock features a gilt metal case beautifully framed by lapis lazuli, whose deep ultramarine colour and natural golden pyrite inclusions lend every example a unique appearance. The classic white dial is adorned with black Roman numerals, a chemin de fer minute track and blued steel hands, echoing the timeless aesthetic found across many of Cartier’s most iconic timepieces. Powered by a reliable Swiss quartz movement, the Ref. 7517 offered exceptional accuracy together with an integrated alarm function, making it as practical as it was elegant.
