Thomas Rubergall 94 Coventry Street London Rare 19th Century Antique Stick Barometer
A rare antique stick barometer with circular section trunk terminating in a turned brass cistern cover and surmounted by a brass cap and suspension ring over a long silvered scale with beautifully made remote vernier setting ranging from 21 to 32 inches, with rack and pinion vernier. On the left of the mercury tube is a detachable bone thermometer scale with readings in Fahrenheit and Centigrade. These are enclosed by a thin brass bayonet cover, which can be turned to protect the scales. The entire length of the mahogany body inscribed 3-32 each in eighth devisions.
