A. Buchan of Bridge End Perth. Ca 1790

A good late 18thC Oak 8 day longcase by this excellent Perth maker. The 12″silvered dial is particularly well engraved with dainty flowers. Showing both date and seconds , the time is indicated by a pair of cut steel hands of serpentine form and beautifully finished throughout. Contained in a light honey coloured oak it is altogether a very pleasing little clock.
