Mahogany and Brass Inlaid Antique Drop Dial Wall Clock by Buchanan of Boston
- 18 inches tall
Alfred Daniel Buchanan is listed as working in Boston between 1828 and 1835. With such a short working time we can be pretty certain of the age of this wall clock!
This is a particularly good example, with choice mahogany veneers and very finely cut brass inlay to the drop base. It has its original cream 12 inch painted dial and hands and is fitted with a cast convex locking bezel. Overall this is a very fine clock in every aspect.
