French gilt, urn-shaped striking 8 day table clock, c.1825
The urn shaped body centred by a circular white enamel Roman and Arabic numeral dial surrounded by a Grecian-style ringlet decoration to the gilt brass bezel. The silk suspension 8 day movement with count wheel striking on a bell. The urn case featuring loop handles in the form of swans with feather tails and foliate terminals, applied ribbon and foliate decorative panels to body, a circular spreading foot, on a square stepped base with applied foliate panels, supported on circular adjustable feet.
