W.F. Bruce Antique Clocks are one of the leading antique clock dealers and restorers in the country. After completing the BADA antique clock restoration course at West Dean College with a Distinction in all three years, Bill Bruce established W.F.Bruce Antique Clocks in 1985, eventually purchasing their present premises in Lewes in 2002.
In 2006 the entire workshop was moved to Lewes, enabling a complete antique restoration service in-house. Sympathetic conservation of all types of quality antique clocks from the 17th century to the late 19th century are now undertaken using traditional techniques, tools and even original parts sourced over many years.
A member of the British Antique Dealers’ Association & a Fellow of the British Horoligical Institute W.F. Bruce specialise in fine and early antique clocks, including Lewes and other Sussex clockmakers especially Richard Comber, Thomas Barrett, Thomas Harben and the Weston family. With a particular interest in the beginnings of domestic clock-making, W.F Bruce’s stock regularly includes pre-pendulum clocks from the early 17th century, as well as lantern clocks, longcases, mantel clocks, dial clocks and barometers.
Please have a look at the selection on our website or visit us at our showroom in North Street, Lewes, East Sussex. All clocks sold by us are given a two-year guarantee, this includes setting up and delivery.
