Many of the longcase clocks on display have been selected for their links to the clockmakers of Lewes, East Sussex and Kent, and the fascinating relationship between these makers. We also present clocks by noted makers but especially examples which display technical excellence and innovation, and which are also stylish and inspiring.

Our clocks date from the golden years of clockmaking in the late 1600s through to the best examples from the early Victorian period. Makers we currently have on show include Christopher Gould, Vuilliamy, Richard Comber, Samuel Watson, James Clowes, John Barwise, Edward Dent and MacPherson of Edinburgh.
